Polly

Hmmmpf ... that's no fun. People have emptied my pot of yoghurt.
I've graced all these people with my presence at this celebration, and all they can do is eat my yoghurt. Not good.
"Mama, can I have another yoghurt please?"

I'm off off to eat it in peace, far away from you yoghurt-thieving freaks

See! There are advantages, after all, to autonomous eating!!!!!

Hello JC.
I forgot my glasses this morning.
Can I borrow yours please?

"Thanks"

That will do just nicely.
You're a good boy JC.

Know who this is?

Well, as of last Sunday, this is Mama's God-daughter!
She's called Polly.
She was baptized on Sunday at the grand old age of ten.
Mama thinks Polly is the bee's knee's.
Her Papa is one of Mama's best friends.
They have known each for almost twenty years!
Polly showed me how to get up to lots of mischief!
Sunday was quite exhausting.
The MOMENT I was sat in my car seat ....
"ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ"

Many a "Z" was thrown on Sunday night!
Thank you Polly for a great baptism celebration

Slightly irritating Nintendo DS Queen

Mama hates William and Nathan's Nintendo DS. She thinks it takes over everything ... and it drives her mad when she speaks to the boys and they don't even notice she has said anything cos they are so engrossed in their game. They recently got a Playstation 2 as a gift and Mama and Papa returned it to the givers, cos they don't like the obsessive side of these kind of things. Having said that, if you click on this video, looks like Papa is going down the same road as my brothers, don't you think????

Wimps, old friends and snoozes

Ok, so Mama was a total wimp. She sent me away to Mami and Papi's last Thursday, only to bring me home on Saturday cos she just can't live without me. Its hard to be humble really.

Monday brought with it my return to good old Creche! Click on this and watch me as I walk into my lovely creche and see my old friends again ...

Alas, I had sorely lost the habit ... and it exhausted me! Look at the state Mama found me in when she came in that evening!

Nothing quite like curling up on the sofa with Papa whilst the boys do their homework and Mama drives home!

Mama Bulletin

Abigail has been evacuated!

A case of swine flu has been diagnosed in Nathan’s school …. So Abigail has been swept away to safety with her grandparents to protect her from a flu virus which is potentially lethal for her, less so to her brothers and parents. She won’t be around much in the days to come …. And we don’t want to go visit her lest we infect her ….

So this is Mama’s live “Abigail post”, as the Princess isn’t here to type one herself! I miss her so much …. I realize I’m over-reacting just a tincy wincy bit, but I really don’t want to take any chances with her health …. I’m a really crappy poker player cos I never take any chances…

Anyway – back to Abi. Get a load of this:

Dring Dring …. Dring Dring

“Allo?”

“Yes, Mme Bernard, this is the school’s headmistress speaking”

(sinking feeling in stomach – Oh god, WHAT has Nathan done now?)

“Bonjour Madame”

“School starts tomorrow, as you know. We are looking forward to meeting Abigail. We have an AVS all ready for her”

(An AVS is a full-time person appointed exclusively to look after a disabled child in the classroom).

“What? …”

Powerful silence

“I’m her teacher for the year. I have read through all her file, and I feel like I know her. I can’t wait to meet her. What time are you bringing her in?”

Strange feeling of elated joy and discomfort at the fact that I had forgotten to warn the school she wouldn’t be starting until next January at the earliest.

“Well, its just that … her CAMSP centre encouraged us to wait a while … they feel she’s not ready yet and that if she went now, it would just put her off school for ever”.

“Oh that’s not a problem at all Mme Bernard. We can wait until January. But promise me you will bring her to the class from time to time so we can get to know her and get her used to her new class”

“Wow, that is so kind of you, yes, of course, I will do that”

“I want you to know I am particularly motivated about Abigail. You know, I’m a Mum too, and for me, Abigail is just like any other child”

Tears brimming now. Am I really hearing this?

“I want to meet her. We all want to meet her. You will bring her in, won’t you?”

“Yes of course I will. You have no idea how happy your words are making me. Thank you”

“My pleasure Mme Bernard” (I think she’s choking up now too) “See you soon”

“Bye”

Is Abigail the most blessed little girl in the whole wide world or what???!!!

End of Mama Bulletin
ps: Abigail, I know you won't like this ... but I loved those clothes! My eyes nearly popped out of my head when I want onto ebay and looked up Matilda Jane ... and then I visited their site http://www.matildajaneclothing.com/viewcategory.php?ID=6 and intend to purchase loads of stuff. Thanks for the tip-off ! Crazy clothes and my Princess go together so well!

Holiday adventures galore!!!

I just got back from Spain, and I had a wonderful time! I learned to do lots of new things, say new words, and it was bliss just being with the Bernard Bunch on holiday. Wanna see some of the mischief I got up to?????
I laughed ... A LOT!!!!!

I learned a new word: 'bobo', which means "Mama I hurt myself".
No matter which part of my body gets bumped, its always my head I touch when I say 'bobo'.
Mama thinks that is SOOOOOOOOO cute!

I even managed to escape from the beach at one point ....

out onto the esplanade ...

and to a bar!!!
(you can tell I'm my Mother's daughter can't you!)

This is the beach that the Bernard Bunch goes to every year in Sitges .... its called 'San Sebastian" and we all LOVE it!!
I was quick to learn how to shower the sand off, all by myself ....

William and Nathan kept me entertained the WHOLE time ... what fantastic brothers I have ....

I discovered a new local playground in the local village:

Mama, this bin just said 'hands up'!!

HA! Foiled him!

I tried very hard to climb out of the window .... but never quite brought that adventure to fruition.

I made friends with a particularly friendly plastic whale ...

SSSSSSSSSShhhhhhhhhhhh guys .... I'm trying to concentrate on the Pacific whale language here ok?????

I enviously watched my brothers climb up and down a very steep and ancient wall ....

William and Papa played chess .... A LOT!!!!!!!! Neither of them dared to play against me though .... they knew they didn't stand a chance ....

Mama REALLY loves this picture of Nathan ... and begged me to publish it on this holiday post. Throughout the holiday, everyone kept telling me I look just like Nathan. What do you think?

I learned to sing Spanish songs at the top of my voice.
OLE!

I saw a naked lady, with a painted body, having photographs taken on a rock in the sea. The whole Bernard Bunch was fascinated by this - especially my brothers, who's eyes almost fell out of their little heads!

I played in the sea A LOT. I really really enjoyed the sea this year, and would go PLUNGING into the crashing waves with no sense of fear. What do you expect : I am a Princess!

My hair got very very VERY messy ....

Alas, after a fortnight's fun, it was time to pack our bags ...
(this is MY suitcase ....I had five outfits sported each and every day!)

Bye Bye Sitges!

oh - I learned to say the word 'Avion'
(the French word for aeroplane)

Time to go back to France ....

a long, long overnight car journey

But its so nice to be back home!!!!!!!!

And NOW .... Mama and I are off to go read what all YOU guys have been up to for the past three weeks!!!!!!!! Looking forward to catching up with all my blogger friends!!!!
