Beautiful, precious little rose buds

Today I had a wonderful family day at home ... it was pure bliss!!! I spent a cozy day at home with my brothers and parents just chilling out and not doing much except pottering around ... these are my favorite kinds of day!!!

it was such a lovely day, that I was in a hurry to get to my computer to share it with all my blogger friends ... oh aren't I a precocious little one????

It all started with this lovely climbing rose that my French grandparents Papi and Mamie gave me for my christening ... its the same age as me, and we are to blossom together .... so, mama planted it right here. "Here" is right in front of my bedroom ... so that as I grow up, I can see it from my bedroom window... isn't that romantic???

This, below, is my bedroom window. Seen from the outside.

This, below, is my bedroom window. Seen from the inside.

Yes, I know. I am very messy. I think its a Bernard Bunch trait.

Anyway, back to my roses ... I spent the day helping Mama to install the pergola trellis thing and to plant the roses in the right place .... it was SUCH a hot day, but it was a family effort and I'm really quite pleased with the results!!!!

Mama would keep distracting me with idle chat and gossip and conversation ...

but I'm always happy to play along, if that's what makes her happy ....

Here Mama, would you like this muddy stone? A gift from the bottom of my heart ...

Awww, you don't want my precious gift??? Ah shucks .... you know what the heart of my bottom says to that?

Right mama, go away now please, SCAT!!! Stop invading my privacy with that flipping camera of yours!!!

Ravwaaahr!

Where is this????

The first person to guess where this is, gets a personalized feature in my blog!!! ooooohhhh!!! And judging by some of the feisty personalities out there, Mama has an idea already about who is going to win!!! Go for it folks!!!

Photography according to Nathan Bernard

This weekend, Nathan 'borrowed' Mama's camera and decided to capture our world .... BEWARE!!! lots of the pictures published in this posting are worth ignoring!!

Oh Gosh my big brother is SOOOo coool ...

Keelan came to visit on Sunday.... Keelan is Mama's Godson and she smothers him quite a lot ... I think she's a little bit too fond of him ... next time he plans to bring his snorkeling gear to assist with the breathing process during inflicted cuddles ...

Is he handsome or is he HANDSOME???!!!!

Anyone who says Nathan didn't take the picture below is calling me a liar ...

spot the bandaged hand in the forefront? Read on for more details of Papa's injuries posted at foot of this post ...
Below, this is Keelan's Mama Suzi, who also tends to get smothered quite a lot ... she's a very patient person though ... Mama refers to her often as her best friend ... she's quite fond of her ...

Nobody noticed me creeping out of the house during Sunday lunchtime, to secretely discover the wonders of my new swimming pool ...

the wonders of ADVENTURE ...

no-one even noticed my escape from the lunch table ...

thank goodness no-one discovered my manoevres, else I would have been in BIG trouble!!!

Who called my name? Go look in my bedroom see if I'm there, ok????

And then to close the day it was bathtime... my special moment with my siblings ...
Bathtime revealed the intensity of a sunburn Mama and Papa were quite shocked by ...

For those of you who might feel concerned ... the sunburn subsided within twelve hours. Rest assured that Mama and Papa are fully aware of the dangers surrounding sunburn and never EVER let this kind of thing happen .... it was just a matter of ten unprotected minutes in the sun .... they have vowed never to let it happen again... please don't let this ever happen to your kids ok??? Don't be as dopey as my Mama and Papa ....
... in closing here's some pictures of me cudding my Papa... Papa broke his two fingers at work and has to stay at home for six weeks. Now I know I should be sad but listen - its six weeks at home with Papa all to myself!!! This is HEAVEN!!!!

(Yes, Papa is camera-shy and hates having his photo published in my blog - each one that is published should be considered as a real ACHIEVEMENT!!!!)
A big cuddle for my Papa - Papa I love you soooo much!!!!

An untypical hence typical week in the life of Abigail ... not easy to say good bye to Claude who has been my physiotherapist since I was born

Me and my friend Tinky Winky are well on top of things folks ...

we went to Adeline's for a bit of psychomotricite (which i have learned is NOT the English-language equivalent of physical therapy - so what IS the word in English???? My Mama has launced an international vocabulary enquiry!!!)

Adeline is teaching me all about the concept of 'inside' and 'outside' ... this is one of the first premises of cleanlinesss I 'll have you know!!!

No, this is not a re-born me ....

this is me finding out all about 'inside' and 'outside' and following an adventure set by Adeline .... I SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo love my Friday mornings!!!! Wouldn't YOU love to be doing this??????

All good things have to come to an end .....

Mama had to camouflage some of her tears because Friday was the big official 'Good bye' to Claude my physiotherapist. Claude has been looking after me since I was three weeks old, he knows me so well, and I love him so much. Merci Claude.

The last appoint with Claude my physiotherapist ... lots of emotion ...

Claude, je t'aime, et tu auras un place tres importante dans ma vie. Merci Claude pour tout ce que tu m'as aide a faire toute seule!!! Tu fais partie de mes reussites physiques!!!

And just to end this post on a positive note, cos I won't pretend it was easy to say goodbye to Claude ... at all ...

the sun has finally arrived in the south east region of France!!! No this is not Pamela Anderson (nor is it Shrek !!! The green reverberations are a touch ott here!!!)
hMMMM.... seems like this is Abigail the Green WATER NYMPH!!! In Scotland they would probably refer to me as Nessie (hey Fairy Godmother, ain't that right???!!!)

Abigails pool does shed a little shame on the state of the family pool ...

Bye bye folks!!! This evening I have a sunburn in the perfect shape of my swimsuit .... Mama has learned that alas I did not inherit the Sun-friendly skin of my Papa but her own sun-timid skin which means EVEN MORE sun screen than ever before!!!!
