Jingle Bells

The Bernard Bunch had a wonderful Christmas in Luxembourg

I had the opportunity to sport the traditional paper crown along with my siblings

Mama got to spend some quality time with the best Dad in the whole world (yes his social graces require some polishing - she is working on that)

I got to spend lots of time with Papa...

We all got to spend time with Auntie Sianie and Chris before they leave for Australia in January

We got to eat some gooey British Christmas pudding

which Big Bill found quite fascinating

We spent a LOOOOONG time at the table ... so much to eat!

Nathan was so happy to spend so much time with his Godmother Auntie Sianie

And eat a traditional Italian Christmas tree cake

Chris and I took the time to bond which was really nice

I certainly took a shine to him!!

he likes to dance and sing with me you see

ok folks more Christmas anecdotes and photos follow shortly! We got back from Luxembourg last night and are shooting off to Mami and Papi's house now for our French Christmas! I will be back soon! Love to you all and MERRY CHRISTMAS to you all

A regal gown

I would like to thank Mama's friends Tim and Natasha .. because this week, they gave me the best gift a Princess can receive:

REAL PRINCESS ATTIRE!!!

Much to Mama's dismay, I refuse to wear anything else
...well I am a Princess after all ....

I love to match it with my favorite accesories

what do you think of my sophisticated Princess crown?

Oh it's such fun to be a princess!!!!!!!!!!

In the mood for giggles

I have discovered a new treasure...

In the form of a box
Which contains lots of interesting things to wear
It used to belong to my brothers when they were smallerBut it is now mine

I get hours of fun out of it

And the Bernard Bunch seems to find it all quite entertaining too

A Princess is a Princess
no matter her attire

Now, whilst I go off and try some more of those great outfits
Let me give you a taste
of what my brothers have been up to lately

These are suggestive photos

Just to give you 'a feel'

of the kind of nonsense

I have to put up with every day

My brothers are a great source of inspiration

for many wise activities

Although I don't frankly understand all of them

They are my brothers no matter how stupid their antics

Its surprising I turned out so well, considering my immediate entourage

I'm off now - I just discovered a GREAT Nemo outfit!
Au revoir!

Mama says I sulk too much

I have developed a new means of communication
for telling my entourage that I am not happy
That I disagree

That I want my own way
That I want to be picked up
That I don't want to walk by myself
or that I want my dummy
Mama tells me I should give it up because
  • it makes my clothes dirty
  • it drives her mad
  • it often puts my life in danger cos I choose stupid places to do it
  • it drives her mad
  • it embarrasses her
  • it drives her mad
  • people stare at us
  • it drives her mad

Fallen off the radar

My secret diary is feeling like an orphan at the moment.

I am sooooooooooooooo busy at the moment.

Its all go go go - it never stops!

My schedule is so busy that I take up the most fridge-space with my complex time-table!

And to be honest - Mama has not been the most reliable of scribes lately.

But she does have good news. After a year (yes, you read right : a YEAR!) the Bernard Bunch is finally about to go back on line. Our internet and computer both died last Christmas ... and Mama decided to splurge and get both a spinky new lap-top AND change Internet provider!

So in theory, on 2nd December, I should be back in the live world of blogging!

I can't wait!

In the meantime .... take a peek at what a good time I've been having with my "AVS" Sandrine at school:

First day at school!!!!!!!!!

I am soooo excited!

I went to a new place today.

Its called 'Ecole' (which is French for 'School').

I loved it!

I made a very special friend. Her name is Sandrine. She stays by my side all day long. And she is really nice. Mama thinks she's wacky - which is her way of saying she likes her a lot.

Mama is preparing a video of my first day ... it should be screened at your local cinemas soon!!!!!

Sew what??

About a week ago, Mama bought a sewing machine.

Mama has never had a sewing machine.

Mama has no clue how to sew.

So she decided to take sewing lessons ... so far, she has had two.

Mama is quite enthusiastic about sewing. In fact, I hardly see her anymore. She is usually to be found with her nose in her noisy machine, vanished beneath a fabric mountain chain. Only the occasional scissor chopping and muffled expletive can be heard ...

Yesterday, Mama took the day off from work ... to sew.

I was going to get all jealous - after all, who is the Princess? Me or the Singer? But then, she showed me this :

My first ever home-made frock! With vaguely matching jeans (Mama made a real mess of the jeans, and is unable to sew the leg seam closed again - she broke FIVE needles in the trying process though~!)

Now you will note that everything is uneven, and if you were to sneak your nose into the inside, there lies within a labyrinth of thread, orphaned hanging fabric, and broken needle heads which she can’t unknot from the material.

"Good try Mama!" I would say that a Princess deserves a little more quality in the fine-tuning of her attire – but I’m not going to, or I won’t see you again for another week!’

Oh – and THANK YOU Abigail in Utah for the inspiration. Mama looks forward to adopting you as her on-line seamstress tutor shortly!

I need a satchel fit for a Princess!

Dear Diary,

I think I must the luckiest little girl in the whole world.

Today, Mama got two phone calls. One from my special "CAMSP" centre, and one from the local maternelle school headmistress. Guess what?! I'm starting school on Friday 6th November!!!

I'll be going to school twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays. I already know my teacher, cos we went by to visit her last week. Her name is Gaëlle. Anticipating my pending Princessly arrival, Gaëlle has already glued my name to my coat-peg and prepared a little book with photos of my future class-mates so that I can get used to their faces before I start. She has even written in the words to the songs they sing so that I can recognize them when we start singing in class! Isn't she just the BEST teacher in the whole wide world?

There will be another lady - called Sandrine - who will be my helper all day long. In French, their call her an 'AVS", a kind of special assistant for special children like me. She's already there, in the classroom, waiting for me to turn up! Isn't that something! Mama says I am very blessed and incredibly lucky. I'd say she's right on that front.

I am SO excited - Gaëlle has already told the class all about me, they know I will be turning up soon, and that I am a Princess! I can't wait to go to school! Hurry up 6th November!! And to think, when I was born, that some people warned Mama and Papa that maybe I would never get as far as school .... phew, what a miracle Princess I am! (but alas, not very modest, I know)

I was so excited ... I decided to stand on my head! Click on this and take a closer look!
